There aren’t many places in South Australia quite like Blowhole Beach for an elopement.
Hidden away in Deep Creek, getting there is part of the adventure — the final drive down to the beach requires a 4WD, and once you arrive it feels wonderfully removed from everything.
For this elopement it was simply the two of them, their celebrant and Glenn photographing the afternoon and doubling as one of their witnesses.
Everything was timed around sunset, starting on the beach before heading up onto the rocks and hills as the light changed. No elaborate setup and not even a signing table — when you have each other’s back, apparently that works just as well.
By sunset they had the coastline almost entirely to themselves.
And the next day? They ran away to Bali for their honeymoon.
