One of our favourite Adelaide micro weddings
North Lodge Lawn is one of our favourite ceremony locations in Adelaide Botanic Garden. It’s beautiful, open and green, but just as importantly, it’s practical — with convenient access to parking and bathrooms for guests.
For this micro wedding, Sky Blue Events created the ceremony setting, with Deb as celebrant and Glenn and guest photographer Siva covering the day.
After the ceremony, the couple left the gardens in a classic Jaguar before Siva took them to Bonython Hall for another set of portraits. The architecture there gave them a completely different look from the greenery of the Botanic Garden without having to travel far across Adelaide.
The celebrations continued at Pastel Wine Bar on O’Connell Street in North Adelaide with a small reception, wedding cake and a confetti-cannon entrance.
With two photographers and four hours of coverage, we were able to tell much more of the day than just the ceremony — from guests arriving at North Lodge Lawn through to the second hour of their reception.
A small wedding doesn’t have to feel like a shortened version of a big wedding. This one had everything they wanted, just with fewer people around them.
