Start with ForestrySA
Weddings can be considered at selected ForestrySA locations from 1 April to 30 November. They require an approved event application. Receptions are not permitted under the wedding arrangements.

Current fees to allow for
The ForestrySA schedule effective 1 July 2026 lists a $55 event application fee, $589 per day for wedding and commitment ceremonies, and a $48 daily professional photography or videography permit. These listed prices include GST.
Ask which fees and permits apply to your booking, and whether your photographer holds an applicable annual permit. Camping, accommodation, additional access or facilities may have separate costs. Check the current fee schedule before confirming.
Choose who handles the arrangements
You can apply directly to ForestrySA and book your KISS services separately. If you want KISS to coordinate the location arrangements, ask for that to be included in your written quote.
Compare KISS services and confirm who is responsible for the application, permits, hire costs and any separate accommodation booking.
Access, safety and a backup plan
Check walking distances, uneven ground, toilets, seating, supplier access and any vehicle restrictions. Share mobility needs before choosing the ceremony position.
Forests close on Total Fire Ban days. Operational work or other conditions can also affect access. Agree on an approved alternative and check current forest access information.
Equipment, insurance and photography
Include your furniture, music, decorations and suppliers in the application. Confirm cleaning and removal requirements, public access and the permitted setup with ForestrySA.
ForestrySA lists $20 million public liability insurance for public events; ask which insurance evidence is required for your particular ceremony. Professional photography and drone use have their own approval requirements.
