My Journey as a Wedding Photographer
I didn’t start in elopements.
For years, I photographed large weddings full-time — big timelines, full days, everything that comes with it.
During that time, I was honoured to be named South Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2014 & 2016, along with multiple other placements over the years, including Top 10 in Australia.
What meant the most was that these awards were judged by real couples.
It wasn’t about industry opinions — it was about how people actually felt about their experience.
The Shift
Over time, something started to change for me.
I found myself more drawn to the quiet moments.
The in-between moments.
The parts of the day that weren’t about performance.
And honestly… that’s where the real connection was.
Not in the big productions.
Not in the timelines.
But in the simplicity of it all.
So I shifted.
