What is an elopement?
An elopement is a small wedding centred on the couple. You can invite a few people or keep it to yourselves and the two required witnesses. KISS standard elopement package tiers cover up to 10 guests; check the actual package and venue limits.
What is a micro wedding?
KISS standard micro wedding tiers cover 11–30 guests. You can include personal vows, photographs and a meal with your guests. Larger groups are quoted individually and depend on the location.
What does legals only mean?
A legals-only ceremony focuses on the required marriage wording, witnesses and signing. Your celebrant also handles the legal preparation. Ask which additional services, if any, are included in your quote.
Can KISS come to our chosen location?
Yes. Standard KISS celebrant, photography and styling services can be arranged at your chosen location, subject to permission, availability and travel. Named venue packages, including Adelaide Botanic Gardens and Kangaroo Island options, have their own inclusions.
Do we need two witnesses?
Yes. Two witnesses aged 18 or over must attend, with both of you and your authorised celebrant physically present. If you need help arranging witnesses, ask KISS before confirming your booking. A photographer may be able to act as a witness if arranged.
How much notice do we need?
Give your celebrant the Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month and no more than 18 months before the marriage. A shorter period requires approval from a prescribed authority in limited circumstances; it is not automatic. Check the Australian Government requirements.
Can we marry in Australia if we live overseas?
You do not have to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Speak with your celebrant early about identity documents, any previous marriage, translations and the required in-person meetings. Read the marriage planning guide.
What if the weather changes?
Agree on a permitted backup location that suits your guests, suppliers and setup before booking. Confirm availability, additional costs and the decision time in writing. A nearby shelter or restaurant reservation does not automatically allow a wedding ceremony.
How long is the ceremony?
A legals-only ceremony is brief; a personalised elopement ceremony often takes around 10–15 minutes. Allow additional time for arrival, signing and photographs. Your celebrant will help set a timetable for your ceremony.
How much will our wedding cost?
Compare the current prices and inclusions on the KISS packages page. Venue hire, travel, accommodation and permits vary by booking. Your written quote confirms the total and which arrangements are separate.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number depends on your coverage and what happens during the day. Around 50 photographs per hour is a useful guide, rather than a guaranteed count. You receive edited, full-resolution files through a private download link. See how photograph delivery works.
