A setting for your small celebration

This is a broad destination, so choose the town and actual ceremony site first. A riverfront property, town venue and coastal setting each need a different plan for access, travel and weather. Confirm permission for the event directly with the venue or relevant venue or site manager.

Make a stay of it

Choose a few experiences around your base: the river cliffs at Big Bend near Nildottie, the Murray Princess at Mannum, Lake Alexandrina at Milang or a Canoe the Coorong outing. These places are spread across the region, so plan separate outings with realistic travel time.

Plan the day around your guests

Build a realistic schedule around your chosen base rather than trying to cover the whole region on the ceremony day. Check accommodation, transfers, current local conditions and a weather alternative. For a boat-based idea, ask the operator specifically about event suitability and guest access before arranging other services.
